We are geared towards providing authentic Montessori education to children from 18 months – 6 years of age in a warm, happy and enriched environment, providing children with the endless opportunities to explore and develop in their physical, cognitive, emotional and mental growth at their own individual pace.
Main Street Montessori is fully licensed under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) 2014 by the Ministry of Education. Our school receives periodic visits for annual licence renewal and is regularly inspected by Toronto Public Health and Toronto Fire Services. We comply with the Ontario Fire Code and all applicable health protection standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Our Montessori-trained and ECE-certified staff are recognized by the Ministry of Education as qualified to work with children in a Montessori environment. Every team member is trained in First Aid and CPR, meets CCEYA staffing requirements, and completes Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Reference checks before joining our school.
We recognize every child as an individual learner. With a prepared, stimulating environment and attentive educators, children develop the skills needed across each area of Montessori learning while growing physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.
